Month of May; Everybody Sing Love
This month has been spent wrapping up three months worth of art shows I’ve been helping put together. May 19th was the Singularity House of Art and Live Music. Housing over forty artists of various medias from the Jackson and surrounding areas, we are acknowledging and celebrating that the 517 underground art culture exists, needs, and can be provided with a place to work, study, and display their work.
We had over 400 guests that filtered through the gallery that evening. Between the gallery full of pieces on display and for sale of all sorts of media, the live music outside, the beautiful weather mother nature gave us, a table set up by a fellow artist of extra things to do, Cuppa’s delicious coffee and open night mic, and the rest of Art 634 and what they have to offer, there was plenty to do. I couldn’t possibly thank each and every one who came through or helped out enough for their support.
Myself and display on May 19th 2012
I have been fortunate enough to sell a few of my pieces as well as swap with other artists work. It will always be the strangest theory to me to have a framed piece of mine displayed in someone’s house.
